Module1 Practical Motorcycle Test Demonstration Video (New Bike Test)

As from 27th April 2009 everyone wishing to take a full motorcycle licence in the UK must first take & pass Module 1 of the test on the MMA (Motorcycle Manoeuvring Area) before they can take the on road part (Module 2).
This video was shot using Go-Pro cameras, one on board the bike & the other as a stand alone, the conditions were very wet as you will see in the video, BUT the surface of the MMA is very high quality & we had no problems with grip at all, so in the dry it will be even better.
The bike used is Kawasaki ER500 with tyres that have over half their useful life left in them.
The test was done on a left handed layout of the circuit you may be asked to ride right handed or a variant of the design dependant on the location of your local M.P.T.C. (Multi Purpose Test Centre)
The avoidance manoeuvre was done at 60kph which is 10 kph faster than the 50 kph required, this was deliberately fast to show it can be done very easily.
The emergency stop was also faster than the required 50 kph this was done at 56kph.
No one will have any problems in passing this part of the test as long as you have been taught by a professional Motorcycle Instructor or Mororcycle Training School that teaches you how to ride a motorcycle safely and not just how to pass a test!!!
One bit of advice though if you are a complete novice wanting to take the test on a 125cc bike, please consider riding for a couple of months prior to booking a test as there is no substitute for experience, as you will have to accelerate really hard to get the 125 up to speed on both the avoidance manoeuvre and also the emergency stop before going through the timing gates.
Any questions please email us.
Good luck

do you need to use …
do you need to use indicators at all, or is it just mirros and lifesavers?
Every time you pull …
Every time you pull away you should do correct observations as if you were riding on a public road, faliure to do this every time you pull away will result in a “rider error fault” (minor fault)
Do you have to …
Do you have to perform observations (mirror, mirror, lifesaver?) on every maneuvor ( u turn, figure of 8?, emergency stop, controlled stop) ?
When you swerve do …
When you swerve do folk counter steer or just lean?
I’m thinking of trying this with no ‘official’ training as riding lessons are stupidly expensive and the test is only £10!
She let 3 guys do …
She let 3 guys do her bumhole! tiny(.)cc/freesex535
We made this video …
We made this video before the introduction of the new test so we could show it to our students before they attempt module 1 practice, we usually show it before the practice session and stop and start the video dependant on the questions being asked, it is most definatley made with safety in mind and we have nothing to hide when it comes to teaching people how to ride a motorcycle.
Any professional M/C instructor will tell you so.
thanks for your comments and support learn2ride.
The requirement of …
The requirement of putting the bike on the stand (side or main) need ONLY be done once, not nessecary to do it it both boxes,
congrats.
(i had a …
congrats.
(i had a pupil who was marked down for over-revving the engine so i thought i had better point that out) but a pass is a pass so well done!
good luck on the road test, any questions, fire away, thats what i am here for!
(btw you might want to check out my narrated on road practical test vid as a heads-up?)
well done and let us know how you get on

thanks mate
I did the test and passed with no minors. I stayed in 2nd gear and just ragged it out the bend. I didn’t look at the speedo, but I was doing 62km per hour on the emergency stop, admittedly the engine was screaming! lol
first gear, 2nd …
first gear, 2nd gear, as you straighten up on exit accelerate and up into third (if you need to).
staying in the wrong gear can lead to faults (over-revving the engine) so don’t dawdle when changing gear
really? i don’t …
really? i don’t know what the real rule is then but they defo failed sum1 for moving it out of place (still standing) the grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr nice one for passing your test i got my mod 2 on friday
Well that’s wrong. …
Well that’s wrong. From what my instructor told me (I passed my full test in September), you should only be failed if the cone has been knocked over. If it wobbles, or doesn’t topple, it should still be a pass!
that was lucky then …
that was lucky then haha, ye defo nerves it was the 1st time i done it too, but 1 guy from our training centre done his mod 1 & the examiner said “i’m pleased to tell you you’ve passed” he said REALLY? COS I THOUGHT I FAILED” he said why is that then? & the guy said “cos i hit a cone in the slalom” the exsaminer went over & saw the cone was moved slightly & failed him, it pays to keep your mouth shut so good call
I did that but the …
I did that but the examiner didn’t see it and I got away with it. I was really annoyed because I NEVER did that even ONCE in training. Nerves I think
I did my module 1 …
I did my module 1 here, passed first time. The swerve is easy if you get straight off the power as soon as you go through the speed trap, the engine break slows you right down.
can anyone please …
can anyone please help me?
I’m gonna be doing my mod1 test on a yamaha 500 and on my practice runs I was actually struggling to hit 50kph (pathetic I know!). Should I remain in 2nd gear and just open it up on the exit of the bend??
out of interest do …

Thanks mate an well done for passing! Have you got mod 2 booked yet? Cancellations for mod 2 pop up all over the show because people keep failing the mod 1 lol.

thanks mate, i passed but have never been so nervous, its easy when your at your own training centre but when their standing there with a clipboard te pressure is on, sorry to hear about your fail but good luck for monday & let me know how you get on
Ok I failed mod 1 …
Ok I failed mod 1 last week. Flew through most of it, stupidly failed on the emergency stop. First time I’ve ridden in rain, I panicked an locked the back wheel up- Still controlled stop but it’s a fail. The swerve isn’t even near as bad as the diagram makes out…
People say you can go as wide as you want on the figure 8. You cant. I got a my only minor for going to wide.
Got my retest on Monday
Good luck plasticsman10
i failed this a few …
i failed this a few weeks ago by putting my foot down on a figure 8, silly mistake, nerves got to me too much, got it again today (if it aint been cancelled due to the rain)
Man, this looks …
Man, this looks laughably easy to me now but when I was a noob I would have choked HARD on those figure eights.
at 0.45 he should …
at 0.45 he should of put it on the side stand.. and the slalom is at a comfortable speed you feel “ok” at
