Is a Buell motorcycle a good cycle?

Wednesday Mar 31, 2010

I am looking at purchasing a Buell motorcycle. I am wanting to know if their good bikes. Why would you buy a Buell? What makes them stand out over other bikes?

I took the Harley Davidson Rider’s Edge course on a Buell Blast. I hated that bike. The clutch was not friendly for smaller hands and it rattled like bb in a boxcar.

Perhaps the other models are better.

I just bought one a month ago, it’s a XB9SX, I have been riding on the road for about 15 years, and have owned just about every kind of bike.
I like the handling it is very well balanced, it has good torque through out all RPM ranges, top end I’m not very impressed it will hit 130mph but it’s just about red lined, I don’t need to go that fast or faster for that matter but it’s cool to be able to brag. Zero to 60 is about 1.6 sec. and you can tell. Over all I enjoy it, although I’m thinking of trading it in for the XB12SX, I’d like a little more torque (can never have to much).

Don’t plan on out running a GSXR top end, but I think on a straight shot for the first mile you’ll keep up, but wave goodbye at 130mph.
On the other hand on a nice curvy road the GSXR will be the one waving….I guess it’s all whatever floats your boat, or blows your skirt up. :)
