I bought a 1982 Yamaha Virago and found a 1984 for parts, and I was wandering if a lot of the accessories would match up or not. Like the seat, fender and taillights, and the tank. Can someone help me?

I don’t think so, if I remember correctly 1984 was the year the bikes came with dual rear shocks instead of the monoshock.
There were a lot of changes, at least to the chassis. You can check part numbers at bikebandit.com to be sure, they assign their own numbers to parts so it’s easy to cross reference. The factory numbers are a pain since they use different series and revision numbers for the same part for different years.
