When McCain is elected President and gas falls to under $3 a gallon, how will you celebrate?

Friday Nov 6, 2009

I think I may buy a big Yukon and a trailer for my Harley and drive from my home in northern California to Florida for bike week in Daytona. Maybe go the long way so I can pump as much money back into the economy as possible. I’m also excited since the drop in gas prices will also free up more cash for accessories and new outfits for my Harley. I, for one, can not wait. It is definitely time for some excellent leadership!

H.D. William , back from the dead!
when gas goes back to three dollars i can drive my truck again !

The only thing McCain will ever be president of is the hair club for men.

by the way McCain has voted to keep open the Enron Loophole which allows the speculators to drive up the cost of gasoline.

I’m lost. Why is gas going to automatically go down if McCain is elected? I think someone is shoveling you some crap.

If you think it is "time for some excellent leadership" why would you celebrate a McSame presidency? Have you been asleep for the last eight years?
Since your question is based on two false assumptions (that McCain will be elected, and that gasoline will drop below $3/gallon again), no meaningful answer is possible. It is long past time for the US (and the developed world, at least) to get off the fossil fuel addiction and move aggressively into other sources of energy.
I for one like McCain’s idea of a major prize for the developer of an economically viable and workable electric car. (Yes, I know his suggestion is just for a battery, but it could be better defined.)
When there are more vehicles on America’s roads using non-fossil fuels than those that continue to pollute and drive us into depression, THAT’S when I’ll celebrate!

First of all you’ve chosen the wrong one for President and it will never happen no matter who gets in. McCain and his consultants will never let it go down ( after all the work they did in the past to raise it)

I will want more of those wonderful drugs that have deluded me into believing that gas prices are that low.

I don’t think either McCain or Obama will have too much to do with the price of gas in the short run. It will depend on the Arabs producing more. In the long run, it will depend on green policies that will reduce the Western world’s dependence on gas, thus weakening the terrorists’ source of money.
