What are good pipes to make a motorcycle a bit louder?

I ride an 01 honda shadow sabre 1100 and am looking at aftermarket pipes but i have no idea where to look or what to look at. what are some good websites or brands to make my pipes louder and look good?

What you need to do is go to the dealer and talk to the parts department. Find out what pipes are available for your particular bike. It depends on what configuration of cylinders you have, but you already have a fast bike If you want LOUD too, then tell the dealer that, don’t buy cheap crap, spend the money on the good stuff its not cheap but hey, nothing good is anymore. You need the parts guys anyway to make sure and get the right pipes for that bike, otherwise if you order it off the internet, expecting some company you never did business with to send you the right stuff, you may end up with something they could not sell before and pay a lot of money for the wrong parts. And contrary to popular belief, not all internet companies are honest, and you can get ripped off easily. One company, sent me the wrong radiator because they thought I was wrong. They did not bother to check that I had tossed the 6 cylinder and stuffed a v8 in the vehicle and wanted a bigger radiator. So I ordered a heavy duty one and paid extra for it. They sent me some lite duty pile of crap, that was 50 bucks less, never saying a word. My mechanic took one look at the corner of the radiator which was still crated up , and knew it was not what I ordered, and when I called the company back, their excuse was we sent what the factory called for (except I had done my research thoroughly and pointed out they overcharged me too, and they said "too bad" click I took the radiator to ups and paid to have it shipped back, then disputed the charge, and used the ups return slip that I was stuck paying for to get out of the mess of some greedy a holes.
Do the research at the shop, if you go with a performance exhaust the bike may have to be re tuned (if its new enough, the computer may be able to compensate no problem) I always had the guy write down the parts numbers for the pipes, thanked them for their help and then went home and tried to find them cheaper. Sometimes you can, some times you cannot. Once you decide , you can order from the parts guys and go from there.

Aftermarket Composite Motorcycle Brakes?

I heard about these cool Aftermarket Composite Motorcycle Brakes that tend to wear out less than normal brake rotors and are actually pretty good for stopping power. I was wondering where I could find a pair of these for my Harley. I wanted some cool looking colour rotor designs I seen on some of my buddies Harley’s. And also do the rotors come in a package with buttons and pads as well or do you buy everything separately.

Hey Kevin,

I had bought some awesome aftermarket brakes for my old Harley from a company called Matrix brakes about 5 months ago. They have some aluminum composite material and I found it was really great in terms of durability (not a squeak out of them despite driving through torrentious rain this April). One important thing to buy is the brake pads they provide some great stopping power in combination with those rotors. They don’t come in a package of rotors and pads but I’m pretty sure you can call one of their suppliers for a package.
