A Motorcycle Polish Recomendation

I’ve tried a bunch of different polishes on my bike over a number of years the only ”all purpose motorcycle polish” I’ve ever seen is Knob Polish from Time Rider Shtuff For Bikers. Check out the page on their web site for 2 unbiased articles written about the stuff. It cleans and shines pretty much anything on the bike.

The best thing about it is you don’t use much to achieve great results. I think the name is halarious.

Are any of these parts for the Yamaha Virago XV500 series interchangeable with other counterparts?

Its a 1983 Yamaha Virago 500, I was wondering if the Ignition Switch, and gas caps were similar enough on a 535 or to use on the 500.
also any other information on parts of this ilk for any other model that could be interchangeable with the 500 would be great, thank you..

check with Yamaha dealer..they can cross ref for you (yes, even for a bike that old)..this is an odd ball bike..1 year only..switch may interchange with several bikes..gas cap may be harder..btw..bought one BN in ’84..loved it, but was underpowered

I need to find parts for a 1974 Yamaha 750?

I live in Bluefield, WV. I just bought an antique 1974 Yamaha 750. I would like to find a used exhaust and a seat. I have brand new mufflers for it and I can actually have the pipe bent for it but I would like to have a factory flange and the pipe itself even if its rusted up, that way I can have a shape to go by. The seat doesn’t have to have the upholstery or even the padding. I would just like to have the seat pan to go by because I’m going to redo the seat anyway. But the better the shape the seat is in the easier it will be on me. I also might take an oil tank and cover. The ones I have have some small rust holes. They can be welded but if I can find some cheap I may just buy them. If anyone knows where I can find some parts or even a whole bike for cheap I would appreciate it.

probably your best bet and cheapest route is to search ebay.

there are bike places online to buy new parts, but very expensive if they even have the specific parts you need in stock.

also, there are several motorcycle salvage yards on the east coast, around Boston if memory serves me that even do shipping… I will do a little surfing to see if I can locate one or a couple I have used in the past for used parts… then edit my response.
