Purchasing motorcycle merchandise can be problematic. There are so many makes, models, styles, shops and web sites that you have to be somewhat knowledgeable. This is definitely one of those cases where one size does not fit all. Bikes & bikers are also from all over the country where certain types of equipment are either not allowed or not needed.
When you purchase motorcycle merchandise from your local dealer you’re usually assured of at least getting a part that will fit your make & model. If you are purchasing a helmet or clothing you do have the advantage of trying it on right then & there. Internet bike stores are where you find the bargains but you’ll have to wait for your item to arrive and if there are instillation or fit problems you are totally at the mercy of the web store. I have purchased many items for my bike on line and have had my share of installation and fit problems but I have always managed to get things resolved quickly. Quickly, in this case, means a few days. If you’re leaving for a trip in the next couple of days you might want to visit your local dealer.
Repair & customization parts are generally easy to buy on line just a bit of a pain to install. Clothing, helmets and boots are probably the hardest because medium isn’t the same from brand to brand. The easiest motorcycle merchandise to buy are key chains, wallets, mugs, t-shirts, patches and insulting skin care products. It appears no one has ever taken the bikers skin exposure comfort into consideration. I haven’t seen a line of lotions, salves, creams or anything else, specifically for bikers, that will help them cope with the elements.
Motorcycle merchandise has always been about bike parts like valves, chains, wheels, handlebars, risers and the like. It has also been about things to wear like chaps, vests, leather jackets, gloves, etc. There is even a category for other things like mugs, patches, key chains & t-shirts. Now someone has come out with a line of skin care products and a sex cream specifically with bikers in mind. Their products epitomize the new slogan “Sex, Bikes & Rock & Roll”! The best thing about these products is their crazy names.
It appears we now have new items that we can consider motorcycle merchandise. They are named in the vein of the motorcycling experience but they actually help protect the cyclist from their worst enemy, the elements. It is good to see a product that can help with wind & sun burn as well as another that will protect us from the sun without making me smell like a coconut!

Available ONLY at Amazon.com, “Iron City Blues” is a documentary about a place you’ve got to see to believe! (Be sure to click “Watch in High Quality” underneath the video for the high-def experience)
Imagine an isolated town where the locals ran-off their police department and outsiders fear to tread. Where moonshine flows, pot grows, and the main industry is a casket plant.
Tucked away in South Tennessee between Pulaski (where they founded the KKK) and McNairy County (made famous in “Walking Tall”), Iron City’s lawless reputation has become legendary.
To biker/bluesman Big Mike Griffin, it seemed like the perfect subject for a song. Join the road-trip with Big Mike and his guide: a cigar-chomping ex-marine named Jason Neese, as they ride their Harleys through Tennessee’s backwoods into the most notorious town in the South.
Welcome to Iron City. Watch your back.
This award-winning documentary is available ONLY from Amazon.com.

I've been in the market for another Rolex and I met a guy that offered to sell me his Rolex submariner Harley model for $2,000. That's about 65% too cheap for a fairly new rolex so I knew something was wrong. On top of that he was a Sportster rider so I knew he couldn't afford a real Rolex. When I got home I found this: http://www.watchcartel.com/item.php?item_id=357 I'm pretty sure the watch Mr. Sportster had was a fake as well. But my question is, surely the fake has to be based on a real model – where can I get a real one? Submariner models are about $6,000 now, and there's probably a premium for having the Harley name next to the Rolex name (two of the best companies in the world!). Anybody know where I can get one? I'm thinking it'd be the perfect accessory to go with my Road King – especially on hot days when I only wear my HD leather vest and go sleaveless.
This is a serious question. For those of you who ride sportsters or can't appreciate the quality and workmanship of a Rolex (because you can't afford one), please don't reply. I realize guys like maddog and snoop are unemployable and have nothing better to do in between watching Dr. Phil and Oprah, but please, I need real answers here folks.
Honda Mad Tony – go loose myself? Here's a tip: loose is what everyone in the trailer park says your mom is. Lose is the word you were looking for.
Sid – I'd love to meet up with you at Sturgis (unless you ride a POS Sportster). Give me a call – 415 267-6999
I say we all meet up with HD William at Sturgis . and kick his Poser Ass
